Our history

From car batteries to variable speed drives

Our history begins in 1923, when the focus was on car batteries. Since then, Busck & Co AB has grown and the product range has steadily expanded. The sense of service has always been the same. Take a look at our history.

1923

Busck is founded by Ingo Busck. Car batteries are the main product group.

1928

Gösta Ullman becomes Ingo's partner. Gösta Ullman's grandson is now the owner of Busck & Co AB.

1955

We are transitioning from selling car batteries to electric motors.

1987

Busck gets the agency for Brook Crompton.

1980s

The product range is extended with generators from Mecc Alte.

2003

Busck is now the sole representative of Brook Crompton in Sweden. The subsidiary Busck & Co ApS is established in Denmark.

2005

Busck starts selling an electric motor under the Busck brand. The subsidiary Busck AS is established in Norway.

2006

We start stocking and selling Busck worm gears. The head office and warehouse move to new premises in Kållered, south of Gothenburg.

2007

Geared motors from Rexnord-Stephan, now Premium Stephan, are now included in the range.

2008

The product range is further expanded with Allen-Bradley frequency inverters as well as motorized sledges and tensioning rulers.

2009

Busck's own gears are now available in the range.

2010

We are physically growing and expanding with 650 square meters of high bay warehouse.

2016

We are expanding our range with drives from Danfoss, the world leader in dedicated drives.
