At Busck , you Busck one of the market’s widest selections of three-phase motors—from standard motors for general-purpose use to specialized motors for more demanding applications.

Three-phase motors are used in many industrial applications and are often the first choice for powering pumps, fans, conveyors, and compressors

With over 47,000 electric motors in stock in Kållered, just outside Gothenburg, we can deliver everything from standard motors to customized solutions up to 710 kW with extremely short lead times.

Standard 3-phase motors

Standard 3-phase motors are the most requested in our wide range. Our standard 3-phase motors are used in applications where simplicity of design and product availability are most crucial.

For those looking for cost-effective design solutions, we recommend motors with aluminum housings. The advantage of cast iron motors is their robustness and durability. Since June 16, 2011, there have been legal requirements within the EU regarding the minimum permitted efficiency for most electric motors manufactured within or imported into the EU.

We offer high-quality motors from Innomotics a global manufacturer with extensive experience in industrial motors—including their lightweight GP series made of aluminum and the robust SD series made of cast iron.

Our proprietary Busck(TA/TC series) are designed for maximum flexibility with adjustable feet (up to IEC 280), which facilitates installation in confined spaces.

Market-leading energy efficiency

We can help you reduce your operating costs with motors in efficiency classes IE2, IE3, IE4, and IE5.
For IE5, we offer two options: our own WE5 series and Innomotics MD1UZ PM with an integrated frequency converter.

Customizations in our own workshop

Do you need a motor customized for your specific application? We have a workshop where we can quickly make professional modifications to standard motors straight from our inventory.

We perform technical modifications such as:

  • Mechanical modifications: We can reposition the feet (where the design allows), rotate the terminal box, or flip the stator to suit your installation. We also perform bearing replacements and install SPM sensors for precise bearing monitoring.
  • Protection and monitoring: Installation of thermistors, thermal switches, PT100 sensors, or standstill heaters directly in the windings to maximize the motor’s service life.
  • Environmental Adaptation: We upgrade motors to protection classes IP56, IP65, or IP66 and provide tropical insulation for hot and humid environments.

FAQs, 3-phase motors

If a new motor is more efficient than the old one, it’s rarely worth repairing it.
Motors under 30 kW are very rarely rewound; it’s not worth the effort.

Contact us and we'll be happy to help. Busck a wide range of products for fast delivery.

When replacing the engine, the new engine must fit into the existing installation.
The following must be correct:

  • Building size
  • Mounting dimensions (IMB3, IMB5, etc.)
  • Shaft diameter, shaft length, and keyway
  • Power and RPM
  • Voltage and frequency
  • Enclosure class and temperature class based on the environment

A common pitfall is that an IE3 motor may be larger or heavier than an older IE2 motor of the same power rating—therefore, always check the installation dimensions before ordering.
When operating with a variable frequency drive, the motor must be approved for VFD operation.
