3-phase motors

For an electric motor to be self-starting, a rotating field is required in the motor. In a three-phase motor, it is created by the phase shift between the three phases.

3-phase motors are one of our most common electric motors. These are available in many designs; everything from smaller fully enclosed standard motors in aluminum to large cast iron motors adapted for explosive environments.

We have both Busck motors and electric motors from Innomotics in stock. With a large selection, we can offer the right electric motor for the right application and at the right price.

Standard 3-phase motors

Standard 3-phase motors are the most requested in our wide range. Our standard 3-phase motors are used in applications where simplicity of design and product availability are most crucial. For those looking for economical design solutions, we recommend motors in aluminum housing. The advantage of cast iron motors is their robustness and endurance.

Since 2011-06-16, there are legal requirements in the EU for the minimum efficiency of most electric motors manufactured in or imported into the EU. We strive to offer as energy efficient electric motors as possible.

3-phase motors for potentially explosive atmospheres

With us you will find 3-phase motors for hazardous areas. For these electric motors there are two main principles. One is to design an electric motor so that no dangerous heat or spark is generated. This involves designing for increased safety. The other method is to isolate dangerous heat or sparks within the electric motor to prevent ignition of an explosive gas mixture outside the electric motor. This includes designs with pressure-tight enclosures.

Our wood dryer motors, or high temperature motors, are used in wood dryers and other applications with high ambient temperatures. They are built to withstand extreme environments with both high temperatures and aggressive environments.
