We primarily deal with individual components and subsystems, rather than complete systems or project solutions.

Here is an overview of the different types of electric motors in our product range:

1. Standard three-phase motors (induction motors)
   These form the core of the product range and are categorized by efficiency classes:
   IE2 Smaller motors (0.12–0.55 kW).
   IE3 (Premium Efficiency): Standard motors in aluminum (T3A) and cast iron (T3C) for power ratings up to 375 kW.
   IE4 (Super Premium Efficiency): High-efficiency motors in aluminum (T4A) and cast iron (T4C).
   IE5 (Ultra Premium Efficiency): The new WE5 series (aluminum WE5A and cast iron WE5C) that meets IE5 requirements without the need for a frequency converter.

   2. Motors for special environments
   Ex motors (Explosion-proof): For environments with gas or dust (zones 1, 2, 21, and 22). The range includes pressure-tight enclosures (Ex db) and increased safety (Ex eb/ec) from brands such as Orange1, Innomotics, and Busck’s own TA series [65, 304–305].

   Timber dryer motors: Cast iron motors (T3W) specially designed to withstand ambient temperatures of up to 90 °C and 100% humidity.

   Stainless steel motors: TSSN series in acid-resistant stainless steel (AISI 316L) with IP69K protection rating, designed for hygienic environments.

   Marine engines: Innomotics DP has marine type approval from DNV-GL.
   Busck , types T3A and T3C, have marine type approval from DNV-GL. 

   3. Specialized motor types
   Brake motors: Motors equipped with DC disc brakes for applications that require fast and safe stops.

   Permanent magnet motors (PM): The WST series requires a frequency converter but offers IE5 efficiency and high power in a compact design.
   EC motors: With integrated control (ECI series) for maximum efficiency (IE5).

   Circular saw motors: Compact motors from EMG with a low shaft height and built-in brake, specially designed for circular saws.

   Vibration motors: From the Italian company OLI for industrial vibration applications.

   Single-phase motors: The MY (low starting torque) and ML (high starting torque) series for 230 V operation [70, 241–242].

All Busck are equipped with drain holes, which are supplied plugged. If there is a risk of condensation, these should be opened. We can also retrofit idle heaters in our workshop.

Yes, we offer the new WE5 series, which meets the IE5 Ultra Premium Efficiency standard. A major advantage is that these induction motors meet the IE5 requirements without needing to be driven by a variable frequency drive.

Yes, modern motors often have a lower power factor (cosφ) due to the use of more active materials and higher starting currents. If the motor is controlled by a variable frequency drive that does not adjust this automatically, it must be adjusted manually to prevent the rotor from overheating.

We can usually ship items in stock immediately. Items in stock ordered before 1:00 PM are usually shipped the same day. Items that must be ordered have varying delivery times depending on the manufacturer—we always provide a delivery estimate.

We mainly supply the Nordic market, but also ship to the rest of the world.

We work with most major shipping companies, including DHL, DSV (Schenker), and Dachser. We typically ship via DHL. Express delivery is available for urgent orders. Full shipping rates for Sweden and Denmark can be found on our website under "Information/Shipping Rates."

We order directly from the manufacturer and provide an estimated delivery time. Whenever possible, we offer alternatives directly from our warehouse. We also have an extensive network of contacts among stockists in Europe and can often find a solution if we don’t have the item in stock ourselves.

If an order is incorrect, the customer is normally responsible for return shipping costs. We will not accept any return shipping costs unless this has been agreed upon in advance. In the event of a warranty claim, we will cover the shipping costs upon approval.

Once the return has been received and approved, the refund or replacement will normally be processed within 5–10 business days.

Aluminum GP (General Purpose) motors are the economical choice for standard environments where low weight is a priority, such as pumps, fans, and compressors.
Cast ironSD (Severe Duty)motors are designed for harsh industrial environments with dust, vibrations, or corrosive atmospheres, such as the chemical industry or paper mills.

Yes, all standard motors up to 500 V can be powered directly from the mains or via an inverter.

Motors in sizes 56–160 are typically permanently lubricated. For larger motors with open bearings, there is usually a label with lubrication instructions on the motor or in the accompanying manual.

We have motors in stock up to size 280, where the feet can be moved to position the cable outlet on the side. The cable outlet can normally be rotated in four directions to align the cable glands in the desired direction.
