High-temperature motors for lumber dryers and harsh environments

Wood dryers place extreme demands on equipment. High temperatures, high humidity, and a corrosive environment quickly wear out standard motors. The T3W was developed specifically for these conditions and is based on Busck’s proven T3C frame.

The motors can withstand ambient temperatures of up to 90 °C and 100% humidity. The housing is made of cast iron and has been treated both inside and out to prevent corrosion. Since the motors are cooled by the airflow in the dryer, they are supplied without a fan or fan shroud. The T3W is equipped with thermistors (180 °C) in the winding as standard, SKF C4 ball bearings with high-temperature grease, and Speedi Sleeve stainless steel wear sleeves that protect the radial seal against corrosion. The nameplate is also made of stainless steel for reliable readability over time.
